We're midway through the first month of the year. So far, how did you fare with the goals & new year's resolutions you've want to achieve? Today, I want to share some tips on we can successfully attain the goals we set for, identify major pitfalls that'll put our goals on hold from my experience.

Why most of us fall short from achieving our goals?
-We lost motivation during the process because we have unrealistic expectation of the result we want to achieve. For example, trying to lose 30kg in 3 months is achievable but is it healthy to lose so much weight in a short time? Is the methods used sustainable or it puts the body under tremendous amount of stress making it susceptible to sickness & injury?

How can we stay on track to achieve our goals?
-We can use a future event that makes what we do today accountable & fuel our motivation (for e.g. looking great in a beach vacation, a future wedding event or competitions)

-Having the right plan of action: For example, there are 3 elements that will play a big influence to getting results in the gym (training, nutrition & recovery). Trying to conquer all 3 elements for a beginner will fail big time because it's a big unrealistic lifestyle change. We can pick 1 thing to master at a time & incorporate to our lifestyle for long term success. (Hiring the right expert / professional will provide smarter ways to achieve your goals)

-Setting realistic achievable goals: Make the goals specific with appropriate timeline. We can aim to increase our Lean Body Weight (1kg in 1 month) by training 4 times a week, with the right nutrition intake. Want to know more about what is realistic and sustainable, you can contact us.
